MANILA, Philippines - There is a place where kites still paint the skies with vibrant colors; where friendly dogs can run to their hearts content; where children from five to 95 can see castles in the clouds, dance in the rain and sing with the stars. Take a walk on the wild side of Laguna de Bay at Vista Land’s Lakefront and experience living at a pace that celebrates life every step of the way.

Inspired by the bohemian lifestyle of the artful City of San Francisco, Lakefront is a 60-hectare master planned development where the Manila south gathers to play. This lakeside community has been hosting a number of family-friendly fun – providing a secure environment for physical activities while injecting a sense of whimsy especially after a week of hard work.

The skies of Lakefront were flooded with colorful kites when it recently played host to Fly For Rare with the Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders, Inc. The kite-flying and kite-making event that benefited children with rare disorders saw kids and professional kite-flyers alike sending their vividly-adorned creations to the air.

While kites have taken flight in the skies, Lakefront has welcomed four-legged friends on the ground. It’s A Dog’s Life: A Presidio Dog Marathon saw a myriad of breeds of dogs racing for the finish line. Chic pups also battled for supremacy in the Dog Fashionista tilt. And proud owners enjoyed a flea market on the event grounds.
